Unifor RSI Day Webinar

February 28 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Join us for the annual Unifor Repetitive Strain Injury (RSI) Day Webinar on Friday February 28, 2025 from 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. EST.

Whether you are an elected union leader, a health and safety representative, or a worker interested in broadening your knowledge on RSI prevention, everyone is invited to participate in this bilingual RSI Day event.

Hear from leading RSI prevention experts

The webinar will be hosted by representatives from the Unifor Health, Safety and Environment Department and will welcome keynote presenters from the University of Waterloo’s Centre of Research Expertise for the Prevention of Musculoskeletal Disorders (CRE-MSD) who will share the latest from their research and insight into RSI prevention.

In addition to learning from the research experts at CRE-MSD, we will discuss tips, tools and new technologies that you can use in your workplace to address and prevent RSIs, why and how to report hazards and injuries, and how to build stronger ergonomic language into your collective agreements.

Why learn about RSIs?

Work shouldn’t hurt.

Work-related Repetitive Strain Injuries (RSIs), also known as musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs), remain the single largest contributor to lost time claims in Canada and worldwide. No sector or worker is safe from being exposed to ergonomic hazards, but with the right training and tools, you can be armed with the knowledge to help prevent these types of injuries in your workplace.
