Reminders / Notes

Lifejackets / PFDs

The Ontario Ministry of Health introduced new legislation in 2018 regarding public pool regulations.  This regulation affects Wild Waterworks and is about the mandatory use of life-jacket – PFD’s.   ALL children 10 and under MUST wear a life-jacket in both the Wave Pool and Easy River.   Wild Waterworks have life-jackets available on a first come first serve basis free of charge.   We have been advised that Wild Waterworks has approx. 750 life-jackets in various children’s sizes for use.

If your children have their own life jackets (approved by Transport Canada, Oceans & Fisheries Canada, Canadian Coast Guard or USA Coast Guard Type 1, 2 or 3) please feel free to bring them with you.

Supervision of Children

Also, please be aware that supervision of those 10 years of age and under a guardian or designated person 16 years of age or older must be within Arm’s Reach at all times while in the water.

The following ratios must be adhered to:

  • Children under age 6: Two children with a life jacket to one guardian (2:1) 16 years of age or older
  • Children aged 6-10: Eight children with a life jacket to one guardian (8:1) 16 years of age or older.

More Information

Please be sure to visit the Wild Waterworks website to familiarize yourself with their rules and limitations, including their swimwear policy, Accessibility Guide, as well as what is permitted inside the park.

In past years, some of our members had to remove certain items from their coolers before being allowed to enter the park (ex. Glass containers, sharp utensils, etc.) Please take the time to read their rules and regulations to make your day as pleasant as possible.

Some quick links to their FAQs, rules, and life jacket requirements are below, but they have many other rules and instructions on their website.
