It’s been another busy and productive year with many changes, we said “Happy Retirement!” to our administrative assistant, Donna, and welcomed Tricia from the Gilmour Hall office to our Hester office. She has excelled at the challenge and it’s been a great year working on the financial tasks with her.
Spreadsheets and numbers aside, our members are participating in education and conference opportunities more than ever and we’re happy to see that the momentum isn’t slowing down for 2026. Paid Education Leave, Area Schools, and Family Education continue to be popular and I encourage everyone to participate if they can.
On behalf of the Recreation Committee, thank you for the huge participation in 2025: from floral arranging workshops to Forge games to bringing the Blue Jays game back, and of course, our Annual Picnic! We have had a great time this year and we’re excited to plan more events next year.
I enjoyed attending Unifor’s Constitutional Convention and Ontario Regional Council, but most of all, it has been an honour serving our members. I am looking forward to the new year and what it will bring. Wishing a restful holiday break to our members and all the best in 2026!
