Protect Canadian Jobs Rally – April 26 at 1pm – Windsor, ON

Posted in Unifor 5555

This month, we’ve witnessed unjust tariffs, including the recently announced auto tariffs imposed by Donald Trump, taking effect. The immediate impacts are already being felt, with thousands of Unifor members facing layoffs. This is a fight for every Canadian worker as these tariffs threaten jobs across all sectors and industries.

It’s time to work together to protect Canadian jobs.

On Saturday, April 26, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. E.T., we will be holding a Protect Canadian Jobs rally in Windsor to make our voices heard and to show that all workers, regardless of industry, stand united in this fight.

Bus transportation will be coordinated from multiple locations, including Brampton, Oshawa, Toronto, Kitchener, and other surrounding areas.  Local unions must pre-register their members to ensure a spot on the bus. Lunch will be provided on the bus, and all buses will return to their departure locations on the same day.

When: Saturday, April 26, 2025
Rally starts at 1:00 p.m. sharp (please note the time for your local bus departure will be communicated in advance)

Where: Festival Plaza, 240 Riverside Plaza, Windsor, ON, N9A 6T6

Please complete the registration form by Thursday, April 24 to confirm your attendance and secure bus transportation for your members. Once registered, we’ll follow up with further information, including bus departure times and logistics (see below for more information regarding bus locations and departure times).

The national union will not be reimbursing any lost time or expenses for this event but appreciates your solidarity and support for this important cause.

This rally will be an important opportunity to show our collective strength as we approach Election Day on April 28th. We hope you can join us to send a strong, united message to all leaders: protect Canadian jobs! Future rally details will be released closer to the event.

In solidarity,

Lana Payne
National President
