Last year our Local purchased Every Child Matters t-shirts and handed several out in time for September 30th. We have several of these t-shirts remaining and will be on campus next week to give them away to Unifor Local 5555 members. We hope that as many of our members as possible can wear this shirt on September 30th Orange Shirt Day-Canada’s National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.

While we are not requiring any kind of payment, we will be gratefully accepting any donations our members are able to offer. The local will match any money raised, and will be donating the funds to the Woodland Cultural Centre. While they have successfully completed the fundraising for their Save the Evidence Campaign, our Local wants to support the ongoing and important work this centre does to “protect, promote, interpret, and present the Hodinohsho:ni worldview”.
